The Trust does not
accept donations per se, rather, it encourages
affluent Sindhis to be members of the
Trust.
The membership fee is Rs. 100,000/-.
Each year, members receive a report of
the Trust’s recent activities and
expenditure, and are invited to a meeting
in Bombay where each Trust Centre committee
member delivers reports. This meeting
is held at the beginning of the year.
The Trust also encourages more affluent
Sindhis to be patrons of the Trust. Patrons
agree to donate Rs. 100,00/- every year
to support the Trust’s works.
The basic difference between Sunshine
Trust and other charitable organisations
are as follows:
- The Trust has members not donors.
- Sunshine Trust was established by
Sindhis especially for Sindhis.
- The Sunshine Trust Annual Report
provides details for every cent given
to the Trust.
- Trustees do not claim for any out-of-pocket
expenses.
- The Trust allows Sindhis living overseas
the chance to help Sindhis living in
poverty throughout India, with the assurance
that all their donations are correctly
used.
Sunshine Trust works to bridge the economic
gap between privileged and underprivileged
Sindhis.
